We’ve worked hard this past year and its paid off. We are thrilled to announce that Knomo has been shortlisted as finalists for the Drapers “Accessories Brand of the Year” Award 2018.

The awards are seen as one of the most esteemed events in fashion retailing, with the ceremony being held at the iconic Roundhouse in London.

The 2018 Awards will introduce the Drapers Accessories Brand of the Year category for the first time – as well as Agency/Distributor of the Year – alongside the 19 existing categories.

The independent judging panel is a lineup of leading industry experts, from Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, Caroline Rush, to KPMG UK’s Head of Retail, Paul Martin.

This shortlist gives the Knomo team a chance to reflect and celebrate how far the business has come in the last year alone and has been a true team-wide effort: from design to accounts, operations to sales.

What happened at Knomo in the last 12 months?

Firstly, we officially moved into owned retail with the renovation of our Great Portland Street store and then the opening of our flagship store in Seven Dials – as well as shop-in-shop spaces within Selfridges as well.

Our Kickstarter campaign engaged a design-focused community and raised just under £100,000 for one SKU in 32 days – a rollercoaster exercise for the business.

Following on from this, our six-piece capsule collaboration with the Victoria and Albert museum became bestsellers in the Knomo range and went on to win the 2018 ''Best Brand Licensed Fashion Accessories or Lifestyle Product'' at the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards. Keep your eyes peeled for a new drop soon.

We also formed a partnership with Microsoft Surface and launched our interactive exhibition: ‘The Dream Office’, for three weeks in Seven Dials. The space explored our changing relationship with work and each week saw the space filled for a panel event, each exploring a different aspect of our working lives and how they will change in the future.

Most recently this Autumn/Winter season, we launched our “Life Less Ordinary” campaign to encourage our customers to leave monotony behind and break their routine by doing new things every day. We hope you’ve loved seeing Knomo in a whole new way.
